The FASEB Office of MARC and Professional Development Programs is now accepting applications for these programs. FASEB MARC approval to attend these programs will be required. Registration will not be offered on-site. Travel awards are available for these training programs. Applications for travel awards are due on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. EST. Effective July 1, 2012, the activities of the Committee on Diversity were merged with those of the Committee on Graduate Recruitment and Education and the newly created Committee on Mentoring and Career Development.
Charge
The Charge to the Committee on Diversity is to:
- Develop strategies to attract minority students into science in general and
pharmacology in particular.
- Work with ASPET membership to address issues of relevance to the recruitment,
retention and advancement of minorities in science and pharmacology.
- Increase the recruitment of minority students into ASPET.
- Encourage the submission of nominations of outstanding minority members for
Society and FASEB awards.
