What is my member number?
Your membership number is located above your name on the dues renewal notice. You can also find your number on your membership certificate. If you are unable to locate your number, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 301-634-7135.
I am trying to login as a member but I do not remember my login and password. What do I do?
If you know your login, please use the Forgot Password Form. If you do not know both your login and password, please contact the membership department at email@example.com or (301) 634-7135.
How do I pay my dues?
Login as a member, click on Member Profile, and then click on Pay Bills or Renew Membership. You may either pay your dues online with a valid credit card or you can print your invoice and mail it to ASPET, 9650 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814-3995 or fax it to (301) 634-7061.
I am trying to pay my dues online but I keep getting an error message, what do I do?
If you are trying to use a credit card that has a billing address different from the address we have on record for you, you will not be able to pay your dues online. This is a VeriSign security feature. Please print out your invoice and fax or mail in your payment. If this is not the reason for your error message, please contact the membership department at firstname.lastname@example.org or (301) 634-7135.
How do I get a receipt?
When you pay an invoice online, your confirmation receipt should pop up automatically. Please print this as your receipt. If you did not receive a confirmation receipt, please contact the membership department at email@example.com or (301) 634-7135.
How do I update my address information?
Login as a member and click on Update My Information. You may also send us a detailed email with your new information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
My membership lapsed a few years ago, how do I re-activate my membership?
If your membership lapsed less than one year ago, you may login to the ASPET website and pay your dues invoice. If your membership lapsed more than one year ago, you will need to pay all back dues owed. In order to do so, please contact the membership department at email@example.com or (301) 634-7135 and he can let you know what you owe and how to pay your dues. If you want to avoid paying back dues, you will need to re-apply for membership as a new applicant and go through the application process again.
How do I apply for ASPET membership?
You may apply for membership online by clicking here . Along with your application, you will need to submit your curriculum vitae. You will also need one ASPET member to act as your sponsor. Please provide us with the name of your sponsor on your application form. Once you have submitted your application, please contact your sponsor and ask them to send a brief sponsoring statement by email to the membership department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am not sure if I know any members. How can I check?
You can search for ASPET members using the online membership directory . Here you may search by name, institution, member type, division, city, state, and zip.
I want to join ASPET but I don’t have a sponsor. What do I do?
Go ahead and submit your membership application so that we have it on file. Contact the membership department at email@example.com and he will help you locate a sponsor or he will send your curriculum vitae out to be sponsored by the division you choose as your primary division.
I have been asked to sponsor a new member, what information do I need to provide?
If you are sponsoring a regular or affiliate member applicant, please send us a brief (1-2 sentence) statement indicating that you support the applicant for membership in ASPET. If you are sponsoring a student, please indicate the following 1) your relationship to the student, 2) the research the student is engaged in, 3) the year that the student is in their research, 4) if the student is in good standing. Please send your statement by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I do not live in the U.S., can I still become a member of ASPET?
ASPET welcomes anyone with an interest in pharmacology to apply for membership. We have many members residing outside of the U.S.
How long does it take to process my membership application and become a member?
We review membership applications on a daily basis. As soon as we receive all your application materials (application, curriculum vitae, and sponsor statement), we will process your membership. If you are a student member, you will receive your welcome package within two weeks. If you are a regular or affiliate member, you will receive an invoice for dues within two weeks. Once we receive your payment, you will receive a welcome package.
I just graduated, how do I upgrade my membership to regular membership?
We allow students to remain in the student category of membership for up to two years following the completion of your degree program. After two years, we will contact you to upgrade your membership. If you would like to upgrade your membership earlier, please contact the membership department at email@example.com. In order to upgrade your membership, you will need to send us an updated curriculum vitae with publication history.
I have retired from my profession. Does ASPET have a retired category of membership?
Yes, ASPET has two retired categories of membership. To check if you qualify for either category, please click here.
How do I activate my free online journal subscriptions?
You must have your member number to activate your online subscriptions. Go to any of our journal websites (www.aspetjournals.org) and click on Subscriptions. Click on Activate your Member or Individual (Non_Member) Subscription. Enter your member number where indicated and click Submit. Complete the page that follows.
I am missing issues of my print subscription to an ASPET journal, what do I do?
