positions in the laboratory of Dr. Songhai Chen in the
Department of Pharmacology, University of Iowa, with an expected
start date of July 2008. The laboratory studies G protein signaling
in leukocyte migration and tumor metastasis. The major focus is to
elucidate the functions of novel interacting proteins of G protein
bg subunits in directed cell migration (for more details please
check the web site:
http://www.medicine.uiowa.edu/pharmacology/03faculty.html).
These studies will employ a combination of molecular and cellular
techniques, animal models and biophysical approaches. A highly
motivated Ph.D. with experience in the study of signal transduction
and/or animal models is encouraged to apply. Iowa City is a very
nice, safe and collegial town with high living standards, but
