Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the laboratory of Dr. Songhai Chen in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Iowa, with an expected start date of July 2008.  The laboratory studies G protein signaling in leukocyte migration and tumor metastasis.  The major focus is to elucidate the functions of novel interacting proteins of G protein bg subunits in directed cell migration (for more details please check the web site: http://www.medicine.uiowa.edu/pharmacology/03faculty.html). These studies will employ a combination of molecular and cellular techniques, animal models and biophysical approaches. A highly motivated Ph.D. with experience in the study of signal transduction and/or animal models is encouraged to apply. Iowa City is a very nice, safe and collegial town with high living standards, but inexpensive cost of living as compared to larger cities.  Recent survey ranks UI as top University for postdoctoral students

Assistant/Associate Professors of Pharmacology
Creighton University School of Medicine
The newly expanded Department of Pharmacology in the Creighton University School of Medicine invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning in the fall of 2007, or thereafter. We seek outstanding scientists with a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree in pharmacology or a related area.
