– Divisions send ASPET office speaker names, institutions and talk
titles for afternoon of Divisional Programming and indicate their
maximum travel reimbursement and whether they should receive
complimentary registration.

September 1 –
Information for Issue #3 (September) of The Pharmacologist
due to Suzie Thompson (sthompson@aspet.org)at ASPET.

September 1 – Call
for Abstracts for EB 2008 mails; EB2008.org web site goes live

– Confirm speakers and travel reimbursement amounts for afternoon of
Divisional Programming
§
ASPET new Member Web
interface goes live. ASPET member directory searchable by Division.

ASPET Preliminary
Program for EB ’08 available on ASPET web site
§
Chair and
Secretary/Treasurer receive budget allocation for 2008 from ASPET
office
§
Mid-September –
Dues notices mailed; members select Divisions
§
Mid-September –
Division reports due for Fall council meeting. Budget requests
above and beyond allocation submitted with justification to ASPET
for presentation to Finance Committee.

September 30
– Nomination slate for Chair-elect and Secretary/Treasurer-elect due
to ASPET; biographical sketches and photos due in ASPET office.

OCTOBER.
§
Divisions let ASPET
office know of any Division activities being planned at Annual
Meeting (Unless otherwise notified, office will assume an Executive
Committee meeting, a Business meeting, and a mixer are planned).
§
Early to Mid-October – Finance Committee meets to
approve budget; Council meets.
§
Early to Mid-October – Long Range Planning Retreat -
Scientific Council (Chair in alternate year attends) MAY meet in
conjunction with ASPET Council meeting
§
Mid-October – Chair needs to reserve hotel room at San
Diego EB 2008 meeting in response to VIP letter from Pauline
Minhinnet/Geri Swindle.
§
Division Chair reminds
Executive Committee members that they are expected to attend the
Divisions’ meetings at the 2008 annual meeting (at this time so they
can submit abstracts if they wish).
§
Late October – Receive
approved budget requests (over and above allocation) back from ASPET
after Finance Committee and Council approval.
§
October – November –
Executive Committee solicits ideas from Division membership for
symposium topics to bring to December Program Committee meeting

Committee/division membership for Executive Committee/Business
meetings and Scientific Council meeting at EB’08.

Early-mid February –
ASPET notifies Division Chair of election results; Chairs notify all
candidates and invite winners to Executive Committee and Business
meetings at EB’08; notify ASPET office when all candidates have been
informed of results.
§
February 15
– Deadline for symposium proposals for 2009 to the Divisions
§
Divisions review and
rank symposia proposals requesting Division sponsorship. Solicit
joint sponsorship with other divisions if appropriate.
§
February 28 -
Notify ASPET office of
winners of Graduate Student Best Paper Poster awards or other awards
so that certificates and checks can be prepared (for Divisions that
make the winner decision before the meeting).
