Presentation Guidelines
Posters for this
Colloquium will follow the guidelines set by EB 2008.
The poster-board surface area is 3'8" high and 5'6" wide.
Prepare a 6" high headline strip that runs the full width of the
poster. Include the title, authors, and affiliations on the strip in
letters not less than 1" high. Post a large-typed copy of your
abstract in the upper left-hand corner.
For more information go
to the EB 2008 website for presentation information:
http://www.eb2008.org/PosterPresentationGuidelines.htm
Poster
Only
The deadline for submitting abstracts
for posters has been extended to March 4, 2008. Please email
the abstracts to
markin@aspet.org
with a note indicating poster only for the Muscarinic Colloquium. There are no font or formatting
requirements, however, the abstract including title and authors
should be no longer than 1620 characters.

Otto Loewi
New Investigator Awards and Lectures
To recognize and encourage the work of young
scientists, the Recent Advances in Muscarinic Receptor
Pharmacology Colloquium will offer prizes to up to three (3)
young investigators for scientific studies on muscarinic receptors.
Prizes: $1,500 +
expenses
Eligibility: Scientists of any nationality with
postdoctoral experience of eight (8) years or less
Requirements:
1.
Unpublished abstract in English submitted to the conference
2.
A description (less than 2,000 words) that highlights the
novelty of the findings
3.
CV
4.
Lecture presentation at the conference
5.
All
materials must be emailed to
markin@aspet.org before February 1, 2008 with a note indicating
the award.
Ruth Levine
Award
To recognize Ruth Levine’s outstanding
encouragement and promotion of the research of graduate and
immediate postdoctoral scientists, the Recent Advances in
Muscarinic Receptor Pharmacology Colloquium will offer
the Ruth Levine Award. Three (3) presenters will be selected by
the Scientific Committee in advance of the meeting on the basis of
their poster abstracts and they will be asked to present orally
their most important findings, rather than the full content of their
posters. The best presentation, based on both the oral and the
poster, will be awarded the first Ruth Levine Award.
Prize: $1,000
Eligibility: Pre-doctoral or doctoral student or
doctorate award less than 12 months before the date of the Symposium
Requirements:
-
Oral presentation at the conference of research that is
substantially the presenter’s work
2.
Abstract must be emailed to
markin@aspet.org before February 1, 2008 with a note indicating
the award.
