DMD August Highlights James et al

Traditionally, radiolabeled drug substanceshave been used for the definitive assessment of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion properties of a new chemical entity in humans. Here, James and colleagues demonstrate for the drug Alpelisib (BYL719) that 19F nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is a viable alternative to radiolabeling for the conduct such studies.
