ASPET Shortens Time to Deposit in PubMed Central

ASPET’s four journals now deposit articles to PubMed Central on a continuous basis. These include articles funded by the NIH, the Wellcome Trust, and the Research Councils UK as well as articles authored by NIH staff members.

Eligible articles are sent to PubMed Central within three business days after the copyedited and formatted version of the articles go online.  The time for PubMed Central to process the deposits can vary. However, ASPET articles will now be assigned a PubMed Central ID much faster than in the past.

Expedited deposit to PubMed Central is in effect now for:

ASPET has been publishing content continuously since December 2013 to put formatted articles online faster. In 2002, ASPET began publishing the manuscript version of articles upon acceptance. The Society is pleased to offer much quicker deposit in PubMed Central as our latest effort to improve our services to authors and readers.
