Research Areas

The foundational question I address in my research is: What are the molecular responses of cells in the human body to the myriad of chemical insults it faces every day? How can we better understand the gene regulatory networks that lead cells to adopt one particular fate over another, and how are these networks altered in disease and by exposure to environmental pollutants? Working in close collaboration with “wet lab” colleagues, I use a variety of computational tools to address these key questions in developmental biology and toxicology / pharmacology.
