ASPET Marketing and Communications Coordinator
The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), a non-profit scientific organization, seeks an individual to support the organization’s marketing and communications efforts. Duties will include, but are not limited to, managing ASPET’s social media, coordinating the production of the quarterly membership magazine and monthly email newsletter, coordinating email marketing efforts, assisting in the implementation of a new online community, and other marketing projects.
This individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with ASPET’s strategic plan. The ideal candidate should have experience coordinating and implementing effective marketing communications as well as experience in coordinating the production and editorial process of a news magazine and/or newsletter. Candidates must also have expert knowledge of social media, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in marketing and communications. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, organization skills, and must be able to work in a team environment.
