Susanna Aguirre

The House and Senate appropriations committees recently solicited testimony on funding priorities from stakeholder organizations as they prepare their fiscal year (FY) 2018 spending bills and ASPET has responded with statements to the appropriations subcommittees on Labor, Health and Human Services,  and Related Agencies (LHHS) in both the House and the Senate.

The testimony outlines the importance of sustained funding and appreciates the increases for NIH in FY 2016 and 2017; urging Congress to continue their support for biomedical research with a recommendation of $35 billion for NIH in FY 2018.
