The ASPET Nominating Committee requests nominations (including self-nominations) from our members for President-elect, Secretary/Treasurer-elect and Councilor for consideration in the 2018 ASPET Election. The 2018 ASPET Election will be open for voting from January 2018 through February 2018. Newly elected Council officers will take their positions effective July 1, 2018.

The Nominating Committee will convene at the ASPET Annual Meeting at EB2017 to discuss the election slate. The deadline for submission of candidates for all positions is 11:59 PM ET on Friday, April 7th, 2017. 

These are critically important positions so please select your potential candidates carefully, keeping in mind that ASPET needs truly visionary leaders - people with great ideas, sound judgment, and the willingness to work hard to see things to completion. It is especially important that the elected individuals be committed to working collaboratively in order to advance the big picture of ASPET. We urge you to keep in mind that diverse backgrounds and viewpoints yield stronger and more effective teams. Please help our pharmacology community by nominating such people for the ASPET Council.

Under direction of the Past President, Dr. Ken Thummel, the Nominating Committee will seriously consider all nominations and present a slate of candidates for each position. While the nomination process is open, being nominated does not guarantee that a nominee will appear on the ballot.

• Include the subject line: 2018 ASPET Election Nomination
• Nominees must be ASPET members in good standing.
• Only nominations received by 11:59 PM ET on Friday, April 7th, 2017 will be considered by the Nominating Committee.
