ASPET and British Pharmacological Society Sign Extended Guest Society Partnership

August 10, 2022

ASPET Transforming Discoveries into TherapiesASPET and the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) will continue its partnership through the Guest Society agreement until 2028.

Through the partnership, ASPET and BPS will share opportunities for both societies to engage in joint symposium, exhibits or sponsorships at each other’s annual meetings.

BPS and ASPET members can also take advantage of discounted rates to attend meetings and opportunities to apply for travel awards, especially young scientists.

“ASPET and BPS have been strong partners for many years in ways that support the membership of both societies. Starting with the ASPET 2023 Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, this Guest Society partnership will ensure that valuable and relevant content continues to be shared with the attendees at our respective Annual Meetings for years to come,” said ASPET Executive Officer Dave Jackson.

Since 2017, both societies have collaborated through this mutual agreement and the renewal will keep these opportunities available until at least 2028.

“We are excited to continue working with ASPET, with whom we’ve had a fruitful partnership for many years. We have enjoyed collaborating with them during our annual meetings as well as theirs, and welcome this opportunity to continue working together,” said BPS CEO Rachel Lambert-Forsyth.

ASPET welcomes its members and BPS members to the 2023 ASPET Annual Meeting. The meeting will offer scientific learning sessions across the field of pharmacology, opportunities to engage in cross-disciplinary and translational research, mentoring, celebrations of accomplishments and social activities.

“We’re already looking forward to joining them in St Louis, Missouri, next year for ASPET 2023, and encourage our members to take the opportunity to attend this, and subsequent ASPET events.” Lambert-Forsyth added.
