In response to an urgent need to incorporate the principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA) in professional and graduate pharmacology education and training, ASPET is launching its IDEA Faculty Scholars Program. 

This initiative is a national competitive certificate program for ASPET faculty members interested in embedding IDEA fundamentals into their classroom instruction and laboratory practices. This monthly workshop-style program is designed as a four-part series of two-hour-long webinars. Topics will incorporate IDEA elements in syllabi design, instructional design, and classroom and laboratory teaching.

ASPET members who want to incorporate IDEA principles into their classroom teaching and laboratory research practices should apply. Department chairs are encouraged to share this opportunity with their faculty. 

Applications will close on October 15, 2024. Include a short statement of interest, a summary of goals for participating and a Curriculum Vitae. The ASPET IDEA Faculty Scholars Program will start in November 2024.
