Joe Lim, is Drug Metabolism and Disposition Highlighted Trainee Author for February 2025. Joe is a PhD Candidate at the University of Washington.  

The DMD article that earned him the selection as a Highlighted Trainee Author is titled “Deciphering the cell type-specific and zonal distribution of drug-metabolizing enzymes, transporters, and transcription factors in livers of mice using single-cell transcriptomics” and is available at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.dmd.2024.100029.

His research focuses on the liver—which is known as the organ to perform metabolic tasks, especially important for the metabolism of drugs (xenobiotic biotransformation)—and the interactions of its various cell types and their specialized tasks that makeup the liver’s overall function.
