Junlong Chen, a 4th year PhD candidate and Research Assistant, is the Drug Metabolism and Disposition Highlighted Trainee Author for November 2025.  

In his published work titled “Stable and functional human intestinal epithelium derived from induced pluripotent stem cells,” Chen explained that “I have successfully generated a small part of the human small intestine. These cells can be expanded and cryopreserved for long-term storage. In the future, I hope to make this intestinal tissue available worldwide — and ultimately, to create a fully functional small intestine.”
