The ASPET Annual Meeting is the place to discover and to present the highest quality, innovative science in pharmacology and experimental therapeutics. ASPET looks forward to warmly welcoming more than 1,000 participants to the home for pharmacology.

Networking and Engaging with the Pharmacology Community

ASPET provides unparalleled opportunities to engage with others in the pharmacology community.

Evening Poster Receptions

Enjoy a drink and snacks while exploring the latest science or presenting it yourself! Poster presentations are held every evening. Posters are grouped by divisional topic area and every night includes student and postdoc finalists competing for poster awards. Hear their presentations and discuss the latest research advances.

Opening Night Reception

On Thursday, April 3, ASPET welcomes you to Portland to connect with others on the conference’s opening night in a fun and inspiring location outside of a hotel ballroom. A free ticket is included in your registration fee.

Shared Meals

The program is designed to allow plenty of opportunities to share a meal with other scientists focused on pharmacology and experimental therapeutics. You can network and enjoy a meal with your colleagues. A restaurant guide will be available closer to the event.

Generous Breaks Between Sessions

The schedule includes 30-minute breaks between sessions. You don’t have to rush to find the next session room. Take the time to linger to meet the speakers or chat with other attendees in the session or compare notes with a colleague who attended a different session.

Pre- and Post-Conference Activities

Community Service Project - Join ASPET at 7:00 am on Thursday, April 3 to serve the Portland area community. Since 2009, ASPET members attending the annual meeting have given their time to volunteer in the local communities. Activities have ranged from home construction, to painting, cleaning, stocking shelves, building maintenance, food preparation and service. ASPET’s Division for Behavioral Pharmacology will again sponsor a volunteer opportunity at ASPET 2025 in Portland. Space is limited and further details will be provided to those who volunteer. Tours and Tickets Available for Purchase Through ASPET - A limited number of tickets will be available to ASPET attendees to experience key tourist activities and events in the city. All tickets through ASPET are non-refundable. More information is coming soon.

Online Programming

The ASPET Virtual Award Lecture Series will be held online in March 2025 in advance of the meeting in Portland. Recordings will be made available to registrants in case they miss the live webinars. At the Annual Meeting, registrants can meet the award lecturers and join the celebration of their accomplishments. The Lecture Series will include the John J. Abel Award in Pharmacology Lecture, the Reynold Spector Award in Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Medicine Lecture, and the Norman Weiner Lecture.

ASPET Divisions will host interactive Town Halls and scientific sessions online from February 10 to 21 in advance of the meeting in Portland. Get to know division colleagues and receive a sneak peek at some of the latest science that will be presented at the Annual Meeting.

Committee and Board Meetings

Many ASPET committees take advantage of the annual meeting to hold face-to-face committee meetings. The tentative list of committee and board meetings schedule is coming soon so you can make your travel plans accordingly.

Also, ASPET’s 2025-2026 Call for Volunteers is scheduled to open in January of 2025. Your time, talent, leadership and willingness to help advance ASPET's mission is welcome.
