October 30, 2018

Michal_LisnyanskyMichal Lisnyansky is the Molecular Pharmacology Highlighted Trainee Author for the December 2018 issue. Michal is a second year pre-doctoral traineee with the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. Her mentors are Dr. Yoni Haitin and Dr. Moshe Giladi. The Molecular Pharmacology article that earned her selection as a Highlighted Trainee Author is titled “Reduced Activity of GGPPS Mutant is Involved in Bisphosphonates-Induced Atypical Fractures” and is available at https://doi.org/10.1124/mol.118.113670.

Michal’s current study focuses on the molecular characterization of human prenyltransferases in health and disease. It is anticipated that her current research will advance our understanding of the molecular basis underlying the normal and pathophysiological activities of human prenyltransferases, which may pave the way for developing personalized therapies suited for conditions associated with altered prenyltransferases function.

When not in the lab, Michal enjoys cooking and traveling.
