ASPET has created an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee which will lead our efforts to identify and dismantle barriers to full participation and develop strategies to embrace and leverage diversity and create a more equitable and inclusive
society. Its charge is as follows:
The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee will work in an advisory capacity to review, assess, and provide recommendations about how to build and sustain a diverse, inclusive culture and an environment of belonging within the Society. The committee will help carry out the Society’s overall strategies for IDEA. The committee will work collaboratively within ASPET to ensure that Society programs, policies, benefits, honors, awards, and service opportunities are inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all members and that the voices of membership and leadership are diverse.
