Trainee Engagement in the Scientific Peer Review Process

The event is composed of 2 main components: 1) A 30-40-minute presentation by Dr. Kathryn Meier including polling questions; 2) A 10-20-minute breakout room discussion after which the audience will report back on their discussion and the results of the
polls will be shared as well (10 min). The aim of this session is to educate young trainees on the scientific peer review process, introduce ASPET’s new “Reviewer in Training” Program, and spark a broader discussion on how senior
investigators can foster trainee involvement in the peer review process.
