The FASEB Board recently approved the addition of three new positions on the Board of Directors for individuals within 7 years of starting an independent faculty position and on the Science Policy Committee for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or early-career investigators. These initiatives will improve the Federation’s ability to gather input from young scientists and provide a unique and significant leadership and professional development opportunity.
ASPET will nominate one candidate for each position. You must be a current ASPET member in good standing. If you are interested, please fill out the self-nomination form for consideration by March 2, 2020.
FASEB Science Policy Committee
Please review the committee purpose, expectations for committee members, and time commitment before applying (see link above). This opportunity is open to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career investigators within 7 years of starting an independent position. You will need the following materials:
- Resume listing relevant activities (two page maximum)
- Candidate statement describing applicant’s interest and relevant experience (two page maximum)
- Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Researchers only: one letter from the applicant’s advisor providing approval for the applicant’s service on the FASEB Science Policy Committee (two page maximum).
