Keren Chen, a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) student at The University of British Columbia, is the Molecular Pharmacology Highlighted Trainee Author for May 2025. 

The article that earned her the selection is titled “Enhancing remyelination in multiple sclerosis via M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor” and is available at: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.molpha.2025.100027.

Her published research focuses on understanding neurodegenerative diseases, which are conditions that cause the brain and nervous system to wear down. She hopes that her research contributes to the broader understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and how they can be better managed through pharmacological interventions.
