Monique J. Windley is the Molecular Pharmacology Highlighted Trainee Author for the July 2018 issue. Dr. Windley is a postdoctoral fellow at The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in Darlinghurst, Australia. The Molecular Pharmacology article that earned her selection as a Highlighted Trainee Author is titled “The temperature dependence of kinetics associated with drug block of hERG channels are compound specific and an important factor for proarrhythmic risk prediction” and is available at http://molpharm.aspetjournals.org/content/94/1/760.

The anticipated impact of Dr. Windley’s current research will be to facilitate advancement of therapeutics to clinical trials, and subsequently meet unmet clinical needs across a wide spectrum of disease states.

When not in the lab, Monique enjoys spending time with her husband and baby daughter. She also enjoys traveling, singing, playing the violin, knitting, and sewing clothing.
