ASPET is excited to announce the formation of a New York City Chapter of ASPET. This 2024 pilot program aims to serve pharmacologists and scientists at institutions and research organizations throughout the New York City metropolitan area.

Dr. Saurabh Agarwal, Assistant Professor at St. John’s University, initiated the formation of this chapter. It will provide a forum and platform for local students, researchers and educators to meet regularly and discuss recent advances in pharmacology, medicine and therapeutics.

"As the professional home for pharmacology, we at ASPET are always looking for ways to bring pharmacologists together to learn, network and share their research. Building off the chapter partnerships we already have in place with the MAPS, GLC and CSPT, this new chapter provides an opportunity for ASPET to strengthen connections for those members in the New York City area,” said Dave Jackson, ASPET's Executive Officer.

“We are very excited about the launch of the New York City Chapter of ASPET. This local chapter will provide a dynamic hub for scientific exchange and collaborations through diverse local events, seminars and networking opportunities within the vibrant tapestry of NYC's scientific landscape. This chapter will also serve as a catalyst for nurturing the next generation of pharmacologists and scientists,” said Dr. Agarwal.
