Hannah Shaw is The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Highlighted Trainee Author for the July 2024 issue. Shaw is pursuing her master’s degree at Drexel University School of Medicine.
The JPET article that earned him the selection as a Highlighted Trainee Author is titled “Phencyclidine-Like Abuse Liability and Psychosis-Like Neurocognitive Effects of Novel Arylcyclohexylamine Drugs of Abuse in Rodents” and is available at https://doi.org/10.1124/jpet.123.001942.
Shaw hopes her current and future research will impact the field of pharmacology by broadening our understanding of principles like drug-drug interactions and structure-activity relationships that can then be applied to new, emerging drugs. She is particularly interested in continued partnerships with drug developers and chemists to test compounds destined for animal or human use using in vivo mammalian models.
