Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast

Sunday April 22, 2018

7:30 am - 9:30 am Eastern Time (ET)

Room 14B

While the term “diversity and inclusion” has become the guiding concept to facilitate discussions about how best to leverage our collective human capital to create a highly-talented and diverse STEM workforce, the heavy lifting of broadening participation is often left to those deemed “diverse” or “underrepresented”. We have had fewer discussions focused on engaging, as opposed to excluding, those who are well-represented in STEM fields. We know from the research that diverse perspectives lead to more creativity and innovation, but we have not sufficiently examined what it truly means to be diverse. This interactive session will shed light on this concept.

RSVP required.
