ASPET notes with sympathy the passing of ASPET member Dr. Irving H. Goldberg, the Emeritus Otto Krayer Professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Goldberg was an accomplished medical scientist and superb teacher who mentored generations of researchers. He made several crucial contributions to the field of science, including the discovery of the stabilizing effect of special nucleotides incorporated into RNA.
