ASPET will present six major awards for 2019 to recognize accomplishments either in specific areas of pharmacology or contributions to and accomplishments in the discipline in general.  Additionally, the E.L. Way Award is being relaunched to provide a travel award to the ASPET Annual Meeting at EB 2019 for an ASPET emeritus member.

Division-Sponsored Awards

List of 2019 Award Winners

ASPET's divisions sponsor awards to recognize excellence in their respective area of specialty for both early career accomplishments and lifetime achievements. 

To be eligible for a division Early Career Award, you must be an ASPET member in good standing and must be within 15 years of having received your final doctoral degree but not still hold a postdoc position. Divisions offering Early Career Awards for 2019 are:  Behavioral Pharmacology, Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism and Disposition, Neuropharmacology, Pharmacology Education, Toxicology, and Translational and Clinical Pharmacology.

Additional division-sponsored 2019 awards for those of any career level or specifically for established investigators are the Scientific Achievement Award in Drug Discovery and Development, the Pharmacology Educators Travel Award, and the Toxicology Career Award.

ASPET Travel Awards

Application Deadline:
Sunday, November 18, 2018

Undergraduates, post-baccalaureate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral scientists are invited to apply for a travel award to help defray the cost of travel to attend the ASPET Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology 2019. You must submit your abstract to EB in an ASPET topic category by November 18th AND apply separately in the ASPET Award Portal by November 18th. 

ASPET Poster Awards

Application Deadline:
Sunday, November 18, 2018

Undergraduates, post-baccalaureate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral scientists are invited to apply to compete in the ASPET Student/Postdoc Poster Competition on Sunday, April 7, 2019. You must submit your abstract to EB in an ASPET topic category by November 18th AND apply separately in the ASPET Award Portal by November 18th.

Oral Presentation Awards from Divisions

Application Deadline:
Sunday, November 18, 2018

Divisions will select finalists for their oral presentation awards from eligible abstracts submitted to ASPET abstract topic categories. No separate application is necessary.

To be considered, you must be an ASPET member, the first/presenting author, and be in the career stage indicated below for each award.

Division for Cancer Pharmacology
